I have a DS1821+ replicating snapshots to a DS2419+. I just changed the raid type on the 2419 so I’m sending ~45TB back to it via snapshot replication, so that it will continue replicating snapshots every hour thereafter. (which, is that the right way to do this? Is there a better way to do the initial transfer and “relink” the replication task to it later?)
The 1821 has a E10G18-T1 card installed, and the 2419 has a E10M20-T1 card installed. The 1821 is connected via both that 10gbe card as well as its standard 1gbe connected, so I can use the WOL function.
I set up the replication task to use the IP address on the 10gbe card, but the resource monitor shows that connection is not being used and the 1gbe is what’s sending the snapshot replication.
What did I do wrong? I explicitly identified the 10gbe port when setting up the replication task.
