1821+ or 1823+, Which one?

I’m leaning toward the 1823+, it seems newer. The 10Gbe built in is really nice.

I really don’t need another one (I have 3 already), but I want to pass one down to my son.

Is there any new models that are coming out soon that will allow NVMe to be used for primary storage? I’d hold off if there are rumors to that affect.

Please note the ‘xs’ suffix: DS1823xs+

This may be insignificant but the XS series are more restricted in your choice of disks. With regular + series, disks not on the compatibility list may works, on the xs+ it may not.
