Will,
Thanks for your video on 5 ways to access your NAS files. My main Q is which method should I use…I’m thinking TailScale or OpenVPN Server.
Let me talk about my use case. Currently using:
- Windows computers
- iPhone, but plan to move to Android
- iPac
My priorities are:
-
to get Joplin Notes writing to/reading from my NAS when I’m on my phone. I want to own my data and protect it. (I’m moving off of Evernote to Joplin Notes). I create multiple note almost every day, either from my computer or iPhone
-
Photos - I’ve had my NAS set up for over a year and can’t seem to get any speed. I read somewhere that it can be because I’m using “quickconnect” which actually throttles your speed. I still haven’t gotten all of my photos to back up, and EVERYthing is slow on my NAS.
-
Email - down the road, I’d like to host my own email on my NAS.
Thoughts as to best approach?
