As an enthusiast of Will’s channel and a Synology user I turn to you all to get my head around my Active Backup challenge on which the Synology Support doesn’t have a clear answer / solution.
It’s the following:
Active backup keeps on filling up my system. I know it’s working the way it suppose to, not deleting anything until the backup is finished. But in my line of work, designer and editor, I create a lot of cache files which are only released / deleted when the backup is completed. Some cache files I can move to an other volume but not all. So my local system fills up my storage with 100 of GB per day. So in its current state Active Backup is not suitable for the creative industry.
Does anybody have a solution for this?
