I recently rebuilt my AWS lightsail instance of www.spacerex.co and in doing so I manually set it up with php and a maria DB instance, rather than using the bitnami setup and look that this speed difference!
As soon as I switched the site over my response time dropped by a factor of 10x! No clue what the slow down was (maybe the sqlite flat file?) but its been huge
