Can my NAS be connected to a secondary switch on my home network

Just setting up my home network with my new DS923+ My main network switch is in the living room, from there my cables go out to the rest of the house. In my Office my computer is connected to the LAN with another switch. Can my NAS be connected here or does it have to be connected to the main switch.

Thanks.

Yes anywhere on the network, switches are primarily used to connect a number of network capable devices to a network cable and the switches serve to share that network connection between devices with no interruption in service. Depending on your home or apartment you may find you need a couple of switches to get everything connected. Your NAS can be on any of these connections.

Thanks. I attached it to a secondary switch in my basement office and it’s working like a charm. Never set up a NAS before Synology makes it some what easy. The space Rex videos are a definitely help. Thanks for those. Must go back and watch some more.
