Can snaposhot immutability files be purged by changing the data's immutability flag on the files within the file system using SSH?

I’m going to be honest, I have not done a lot of research into what immutability entails on the snapshots as part of the 7.2 update.

From experience with Veeam Backup and Replication, it’s possible to SSH into the linux distribution that is retaining the immutability data and actually remove the immutability flag and purge data hence why they say to disable SSH to be fully protected. Does the Synology use this function for its Write Once feature?

Is it theoretically possible through SSH by connecting to the Synology using an administrator account and removing the immutability flag on the data, and manually purging it or is it designed in a different way than a typical linux immutable flag?

They claim that it is not, but I have not been able to full test it.
