Change DSM Volume Name?

Is there a way to change the Volume name? ie. from “Volume 2” back to “Volume 1”.

I performed a HDD migration from DS916+ to DS920+ with the option to retain settings. The step to install the DSM from the pat file repeatedly failed, so I put a spare drive in Slot1, and original Drive1 into another slot. I was able to install DSM, and access all my data on original drive1, but this changed drive1 Volume1 to Volume2.
I have since been able to fix issue with original drive1 and return it to Slot1, but primary volume is still set as Volume 2, which now breaks a lot of my apps and configurations that are all pointing to /volume1/…

There is no simple method… but Bro’ Google offers several possibilities. Here’s one.

Instead, I would back up everything, do a fresh install, and restore. Or you might try this script for moving packages.

Thank you. That package moving script looks like it might be the ticket.

The Synology app mover is great, and likely would have been great before I had the volume switch issue.
Unfortunately, it was not able to help with my Volume2 apps pointing to Volume1 configurations.
I’ll try some other options.
