DS 720+ out of space

Hello and thank you for replying to this ….. sorry i couldn’t find anything regarding this.

I have an older Synology DS720+ with 8tb hard drives in a RAID 1.

My kid came back from college who is a Video student and has about 6tb to backup of data. I usually can do it but i have 3TB on the current Synology. So i wondered if i should get a bigger hard drives and migrate it, get the extension pay or if i should just get a new unit?

What does everyone think i should do? What’s the best bang for my dollar etc. but then again i dont want the DS720+ to go out of support etc. thank you

2×24 TB should do it.

Next time don’t spend the extra for DX capability, when it’s more likely you will buy a new NAS.
