Since a week my NVR1218 with DSM 6.2.4-25556-update 7 does not sent e-mail messages anymore through my Google account. I receive error message I am using a less secure app. Has someone the same problem and a solution? Thanks in advance.
It could be a firewall issue (I had this when installing an email client [Thunderbird] on a Linux desktop).

I resolved my issue by temporality turning off Firewall whilst installing the email client then turning it back on again after the installation.

By using Method 1 ( instead Method 2 which I used before) as mentioned within the “ How do I use Gmail SMPT server to send emails for DSM” the problem was solved.
