exFAT drive not ejected properly. Haven’t got one

223j Diskstation, up to date. exFAT app removed when updating to 7.3.

Situations dictated shutting the NAS down a couple of times recently.

Each time get messages for the 4 USB drives

“not ejected properly. This may cause exFAT file system errors on partition USB Disk 1 Partition 1. Before you continue to use the drive, we recommend connecting it to Microsoft Windows or macOS to perform a restoration and ensure data consistency.”

They are all EXT4. Everything seems to work. 7.2 never did this.

Anyone else getting this?

Anything to worry about?

Have you updated to the latest 7.3, that is currently 7.3.2? I recall issues with exFAT in the initial 7.3 release.

Ah! I’m on DSM 7.3-81180. I haven’t had any notification and the update page in DSM says I’m up to date.

Is 7.3.2 an manual job only?

Most DSM upgrades are staged and rolled out over time. Download your version and install it manually when you’re ready.
