I need some guidance on hardware I would need to backup my Synology 923+. I have a detached garage that has an ethernet cable running to it from the router in my house. I want to be able to put a large USB drive in the garage (temp controlled space) to backup the 923+. Is there a way to connect the USB drive via ethernet to the network without using another computer or NAS? I’ve seen network switches that have USB ports on them, would that work? TIA.
