Right now I have a DS220+ with a single HDD. It’s always been a little loud, but now that I’m doing more with it, it’s a bit distracting where it’s located, and I’d rather not move it for multiple reasons.
To fix this I was hoping to change it out with a larger SSD. I understand that performance won’t improve drastically on a 1Gb connection, this is for silence of operation. Synology’s Media states that they can’t copy an HDD to an SSD. Does anyone know of a way to do this safely?
