I would like to know how i can protect from ransomware if it gets access to my SMB shares. They are always linked/open/active to my main pc.
Lets say it get on my pc, it could access my SMB shares and encrypt my whole synology before i even know it. I do have Active Backup for Business running, it is not accessible via SMB.
Ive tried NFS in windows with mouthing the drives but it is more of a hassle, slows down explorer and not gaining any benefits over SMB.
Any ideas?
