How to replace HDD with SSD in DS 718+

I would like to replace the two 4TB HDD’s in my DS718+ with two 4TB Samsung EVO SSD drives. The plan was to replace one at a time and let the Volume rebuild, but it is apparently not possible to rebuild a HDD using a SSD.

Any advice on how to approach this? I’d like to keep all the good stuff I have installed; VM’s, Docker containers, Photos etc. - maybe just DSM backup and restore + Hyper backup to an external HDD

Did the hyper backup - try to avoid if yoyu can :frowning:

Yeah hyper backups the only real method here. They dont let you make a mixed SSD / HDD volume unfortuanly
