I’ve been watching Will’s videos on integrating Lightroom with a NAS and have a few questions:
-
Could Synology Drive on demand sync be an option for storing Raw files? If there was On Demand sync (on Mac) could I edit files in LR and “free up space” when done editing? After that, would opening a file in LR trigger downloading that file within Drive from online only to a local copy? Would using Synology Drive with on demand sync be better than mapping a network drive and using Tailscale when not at home?
-
When using Tailscale to connect to NAS mapped drive in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCvFvmuce-U&t=158s , does running Tailscale and mapping the drive change my network settings and run all my connection through the 100 IP address? Or does it only map the connection to NAS drive and leave other network traffic alone? I’m trying to understand if I would need to switch Tailscale on and off when I need to use LR.
I hope my questions make sense. Thanks for your help!
