Well, I got my new baby yesterday, the Unifi Dream Machine Special Edition and it’s replacing a Fortigate 40F and so far, it’s just exceeded all of my expectations. The firewall part is great, not as granular as the Fortigate, but it does what’s needed and one thing it has the Fortigate didn’t is central Ad Blocking!! Love it!
I also got a Unifi AP6 Pro to test out and that’s been about to transfer at a stable 90MBps to/from my Synology so I might get 2 more and replace my current Wifi. Although I might wait until the Pro has Wifi 6E as I’m not paying for the Enterprise AP.
Even the console is just amazing at telling you everything about your network.
