My synology photos in folder view shows my wife's /home/photos folders?

but, in timeline view, it shows … most of my photos - but not all of them ??? File explorer, shows my home folder properly ?

Any idea what’s going on here? This is after a hyperbackup restore to a new NAS DSM configuration. It’s almost like Synology Photos is confused on who’s home it should be looking at. ? Should I uninstall photos and re-install?

Note, it is still re-indexing - I have a ton of photos. Is this why?

I hate to break it to you, but if you touched homes permissions, you broke DSM.

Return all homes permissions to default and NEVER touch them.

When you did the Hyper Backup restore, did you restore the system configuration and the Synology Photos application as well, or only the folders?

I restored everything from the hyperbackup, I’ve resolved the homes folder permissions back to default - and verified the ownership of all the files under each user home folder, and it’s still doing indexing. Logging in as the 2 users(my wife and I), the file explorer, folders all look correct all the files for each user is as expected. Indexing is still in progress. Synology photos still has the wrong photos shown in albums(personal space is now correct) for each user - I’m wondering what my next steps should be. I’ll see if it is resolved after the reindexing finishes first.
