Non Admin User Accessing Homes Folder Remotely in Windows 11

Hi everyone! I’m very new to Synology and having a NAS. I stumbled upon SpaceRex when looking for info. Well I didn’t stumble upon him, he’s kind of plastered all over YouTube  , but I’m glad I found him!

I’m using my NAS for personal backup, Plex and general file storage. I setup a shared folder for my parents so that they can access it and store files on it as well. I want them to be able to use it like a normal drive where they can drag and drop files. Not like a synced drive. They’re all Windows and I’m trying to figure out the easiest way for them to access their homes folder remotely. I want to have it setup as a mapped drive on their computer so that they don’t have to do any logins. They’re not very technologically advanced so I need to keep it as simple as possible. I was trying to figure out how to do it with TailScale, but it seems like everything I was finding was for ways for the admin to access the NAS and they’re not an admin on my NAS. I have their computer setup with TeamViewer so I can go in remotely and do all of the work to set it up.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. I’m excited to be part of this community. Thanks for your help!
