Opinions on separate volumes

I received another HD today and plan to use it for video recording/surveillance. I’ll be adding it to my 1522 which currently has 3 drives setup in RAID5 (volume0), bay 4 has a HD used for local backup of the RAID array(volume1). The 5th bay will be used for video recording 24/7(volume2). It seems to make sense to create separate these 3 separate volumes for these purposes. Opinions? Or should I just use my 220 as a dedicated video recorder/backup?

I think in this case having three volumes makes sense! Having a dedicated surveillance station drive if you have more than like 5 cameras makes a ton of sense to keep the rest of your pool from being slowed down with random writes / reads all the time!
