Hi there — I just purchased a DS923+, and had previously plugged my printer into a DS918+, which worked great. I tried to plug my printer into the 923, and received a notification that printing isn’t supported on that NAS. Is there any way to get around this limitation? Thank you! (For context, I use a Macbook pro as my computer, so it’s more convenient for me to have the printer plugged into the NAS instead of my laptop, which only has USB C connections.)
I don’t know whether there is a workaround for USB printing via the NAS, but concerning the USB C connections on your MacBook Pro, you can buy a simple adapter USB A > USB C.
By the way, was/is your DS918+ running DSM 6 or 7? Since DSM 7, I believe USB printing has been dropped.

Thanks! Yeah, I could always get an adapter, but it was much nicer being able to print via the server before, since my printer is tucked away in a drawer.
My old NAS was running DSM 6 and the print server worked great with that for years. Bummer they took that away. Odd.
Thanks!
I don’t really understand the Docker stuff, but perhaps that info will benefit others who do.
