Switching from Windows 10 to Linx (on the same laptop). Will my Synology NAS and Plex application still work as-is?

In the past 13 months, I have installed a Synology NAS and the Plex Media Server, also uploading 500 movies and 4000 TV episodes using Makemkv, all while on Windows 10.

With the end of Windows 10 support, I’m dumping the Microsoft spy machine and will load the Ubuntu OS on my same laptop (deleting Windows 10).

Is the Plex software on my laptop or my NAS? I don’t see it in the list of apps on my laptop (however I do see Synology Assistant.) If on the laptop, I will then need to reinstall it. Will I lose all my customizations already in Plex, including all the Collections?

Will the .mkv files ripped using Makemkv under Windows 10 still be readable under Linux?

I also back up my NAS to an external hard drive. Will there be NTFS vs. EXT4 problems moving to Linux, either on my NAS or the external hard drive?

you left out any information for what I asked about: the PLEX application, smart guy.
I downloaded a Windows version before. If I have to reinstall it, is it then a new app, with no connection to what I’ve already customized?
