Symbology / Trunas Scale and Open VPN

Hi,

I’ve just followed the tutorial for adding Open VPN and been able to access my Synology via Mac 192.168.50.114 in finder. However; I also have a Trunas Scale and when I try to access this via finder 192.168.50.42 it opens up a username and password prompt but these don’t work. Have I misunderstood the Open VPN I created, do I need to create another open VPN separately on the Trunas scale or is there something I’m missing in the process?

If I do need to create an open VPN on Trunas scale, is there a current tutorial available anyone could point me to please?

I’m still new to this so any help would be amazing.

Any OpenVPN connection to a VPN Server on your local network typically gives access to resources on your local network. In other words, you VPN into your network, not a specific device. As a result, you should not need to create separate VPN server installations for different devices.

The question is, why can you not successfully log in to the other NAS? Is there a firewall enabled on your Synology NAS?
