I am trying to create a back up task (or sync task if I’m able to) to mirror my desktop folder to NAS (either 1 way or 2 way). I have both a Mac and PC I am trying to do this for. I have gotten around the permissions on Mac to be able to select and create a backup task for by desktop folder (with continuous backup mode selected). The problem is that although the task successfully backups the folder and updates within documents made on the desktop are mirrored to the NAS, if i move the document to another folder or rename the document it created a duplicate document on the NAS vs updating the document. Also, if the document is deleted from the desktop it still remains on the NAS.
I have not figured out how to make the desktop folder visible as a source folder within the Synology Drive Client backup task creator for my PC.
What am I missing here. Am I in the wrong workflow? OR am I missing some simple checkbox to allow a true mirror backup?
