Synology Drive Support

I searched Synology’s compatible drives list and the only drives shown as compatible are “Synology” brand. Does this mean they won’t support me if I have an issue? I’m using Seagate Ironwolf 8TB drives.

Hello, you could pick 3rd party, it’s a bit hidden.
In most cases you could use other, non supported, drives without problems. (May change)

Thx, missed that. Of course my drives are Seagate Ironwolf model ST8000VNZ04 which are not on the list. If I have a support issue, will they not support me? That’s the gist of what I’m trying to understand. Whether or not I need to buy new drives. Thx
