Per Will’s home or family NAS setup tutorial (excellent tutorial BTW), my NAS is set up with a home drive, group drive, and a team share. Each uses file shows the home personal space and has a Photo sub drive per the tutorial setup with Synology Photos. User access has 1 admin and 2 Non Admin users.
I installed Synology photos. But I have a question that perplexes me, and I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong or I missed something in the tutorial. While Synology Photos seems to function well, I noticed that the app appears to only switch between the home or personal photos and team photos. While this configuration works fine, I can’t figure out how to get Synology Photos to switch to the Family Group Photos drive. Is this the way the app is supposed to work, or did I miss something in the configuration setup? I expected to use the Family, or group photo drive as a shared dump for most “raw” photos each user can review, add metadata, categorize, keep or discard, but it appears the only way to see them is without using the photos app. Should I be using some other Synology app to do this type of photo reviewing?
