Just a quick note. For the first time ever I need to use Snapshots to recover a suddenly corrupted file and wow, it works! Yay!! Love this stuff! Thanks Will!

To anyone reading this wondering if they should have snapshots, the answer is yes! Snapshots are a no brainer and can save you!
100%. Even for Shares that aren’t critical, I still have snapshots enabled because the little resources needed to recover a corrupt file or directory it really does make it a no brainer. I’ve even had a Windows update go bad, I always take Snapshots prior to updates, as soon as I realised the update messed up the VM, I just turned it off, and restored to the snapshot I took before the install, moments later, the VM was running again.
DISCLAIMER THOUGH: ALWAYS HAVE BACKUPS. RAIDS AND SNAPSHOTS AREN’T BACKUPS
