I am thinking of buying DS923+ and two Crucial MX500 4 Tb SSD disks (leaving 2 empty). Do I run into troubles with those disks or would it be better to buy Qnap as it is supporting those disks?
I was thinking about raid and ssd. What do you think if I don’t use the other ssd for raid and instead use it for regular backups. The risk for data los is different for ssd than hdd. Then I don’t have any ssd mirrored with raid. What do you think?
The DS923+ will not care about what SSDs you put in there!
The only ones that care are the 12+ bay units or the XS+ models. Everything consumer will take any drive without showing the volume as orange
