Synology Wordpress Site Connect to Domain

I followed your video on “How to Host Wordpress Site at home on Synology” to be able to host a multi-site server on my NAS. My question is more related to, I am now ready to connect one of them to a domain and I am not understanding your video. If my site is: example.myds.me/wordpress1 and I want to connect my domain to it, I don’t understand how. In my domain DNS, if I try to do a CNAME record as the video says, I can’t point to a path, only the ‘example.myds.me’ so my domain will not get me to the correct place where the wordpress site is.

I tried just having an ALIAS record to see if that would work, but I just can’t get it to reach the wordpress site.

I’ve kind of run out of ideas on if I am going to host a multi-site server on my NAS, I’m now unable to get the connected to domains :frowning:

Any ideas what I am doing wrong here? :frowning:

Maybe this or this will prove helpful.

Maybe this is helpful.

Long story short, do not use the WordPress package from Synology but create a custom installation.

Thanks. I got it figured out. The problem is that basically all the tutorials out there are for older DSM versions. I run 7.2+ which made drastic changes in web station.

My issue what that in web station I made a native script but didn’t connect it to my site. Once I did that in web station, it worked.
