Third Party M.2 SSD's

With the help of this GitHub - 007revad/Synology_HDD_db: Add your HDD, SSD and NVMe drives to your Synology's compatible drive database and a lot more I got past the restriction to buy overpriced synology HDD’s and SSD’s, thank you!

My DS1522+ now recognizes the crucial M.2’s and they can be selected in the storage manager to create pools.

Hope this helps someone out in the future.

awesome! thanks for sharing this. I am also considering making an m.2 pool but after spaceRex’ video on speed, it seemed negligible compared to network latency and such (hosting for remote users) but maybe I will use this and throw in one of my spare m.2s since I wont need to buy the 300$+ synology one.
