Time Machine OSStatus error 80

Hi, I’m fairly new to using a Synology NAS and am still setting up my NAS 1821+. I previously had Time Machine working, but backups seem to have stopped unexpectedly. I’m not sure if I changed something accidentally, or if this happened on its own.

I tried troubleshooting by selecting “Forget Backup Destination” and re-adding the backup, but now I’m getting this error:

“The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error 80.)”

I’m not sure how or what steps to take to fix this issue. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t know what the error means, but sometimes you’d better delete the backup and start from scratch. I am sure Will has a great video about Time Machine backup. Or you refer to a blog about Time Machine backup.
