First of all, thank you for the incredible work you’re doing on YouTube. Your Synology tutorials have been unbelievably helpful to me. In fact, most of what I know about Synology NAS today comes directly from watching your videos. You explain things in a way that is both clear and practical, which makes it much easier for people like me to understand and actually implement what you’re teaching.
One topic I would personally love to see you cover in a future video is password management on a Synology NAS. In today’s world we all have a huge number of online accounts, and using strong and unique passwords everywhere is still very important, even though more and more services now support 2FA. One of the main reasons many of us run a NAS at home is to keep things self-hosted and under our own control, so it feels a bit frustrating to still end up relying on external services from companies like Google, Apple, or Microsoft to manage something as important as our passwords.
As far as I understand, Synology doesn’t really offer a fully self-hosted password manager solution out of the box. I know that some people run third-party solutions like Vaultwarden (Bitwarden) using Docker (or Container Manager), but setting that up correctly can be a bit intimidating for many users.
It would be amazing to see a detailed tutorial showing how to set up a secure, self-hosted password manager on a Synology NAS. I’m sure many people in the Synology community would benefit greatly from a guide like that.
