I’m considering buying a Synology 3622XS+ and wondering what is the latest with the error messages if you install non-Synology drives on NAS units of more than 8 bays? The latest I’ve seen online (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NoC3BA3kMo0 and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9eYykSurgk) is that you can install 3rd party drives that are on the compatibility list and everything works fine - but you have to put up with scary & aggressive messages from Synology telling you they are unverified, dangerous etc. That was about 6 months ago - has anything changed recently on this?
