After reading this report in the Synology forum, I remembered that I also have a UPS on my extended purchase list.
Any UPS recommendations for a home server/NAS setting?
So far I’ve only selected the APC Smart UPS SMX750I as a potential candidate. (I’d want it to be a rackmount, a device not with a huge capacity, just enough to ensure that the main server and a couple of smaller Linux devices & a Mac can shut down gracefully. The above APC has 8 x C13 IEC, which is definitely a plus regarding homelab expandability.)
