USB copy super slow?

I have a new DS162+, 3 drives in SHR setup, 27tb free, 2 nvme 2 drives for cache and 8gb of RAM. I am trying to transfer files from my external hard drives to the synology NAS and it’s taking so long. It shows about 30MB/s transfer speed. To transfer 40gb of data it’s taking about 35 minutes.

Any suggestions on how I can improve these transfer speeds?

Are the external drives connected to your computer or the NAS?

Direct to the USB 3 port on the NAS.

How do you perform the copy operation? For example, you can use File Station or your computer (Windows Explorer or Mac’s Finder).

I have been using the copy to or move to option within file station.
