USB Printer Sharing via Synology NAS

I have a USB Canon laser printer and would like to make it available over my home network with a DS 224+
According to Synology you can do that, but the External Devices section only allows the addition of a network printer (asks for an IP address). What am I missing. Am I doing something wrong? The printer is currently connected to the rear USB port. If it’s possible, I’d love to see a YouTube tutorial on how to do this, before I go out and spend money on a print server. Thanks!
