Video Station - upgrade to DSM 7.2.2

I’m sure this has already be covered somewhere by @Will (but I can’t find it).
I have a video share in my Synology NAS but as part of the latest DSM upgrade, it is requesting that I now delete Video Station in order to continue.
Is Video Station the same as the video share and if I delete Video Station, will the videos I already have stored be lost?

Looking more closely at Video Station, I don’t see any of the videos I have stored in the Video share so I’m fairly confident that the two are entirely separate but some confirmation before proceeding with the deletion of Video Station to do the DSM upgrade would be very welcome.

Applications, like Video Station, may create a shared folder, like /video. But uninstalling the application does not remove the shared folder or data inside it.
That said, make sure you have a backup before doing any maintenance.

FWIW, Media Server (if installed) also creates/uses that folder. As Paul stated, the shared folder will not be deleted unless you choose to do so.

So, its done! Removed VS, completed the update to DSM 7.2.2 and all seems well.
:crossed_fingers:
Had to re-download the update though using this guide and then remove VS using this guide
Thanks for your inputs.
